Join Christians around the world May 25 to June 4, 2017 (Ascension to Pentecost) to pray that all people come to know Jesus Christ.
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, is inviting Christians around the world to pray as one, from Ascension Day to Pentecost, for people to know Jesus Christ.
Of this effort, called Thy Kingdom Come, Archbishop Welby says, “I cannot remember in my life anything that I’ve been involved in where I have sensed so clearly the work of the Spirit.”
During the 11 days of Thy Kingdom Come, the call is to deepen your own friendship with Jesus, bring others to know Jesus or know him better, and come to know that every aspect of our lives is the stuff of prayer.
You will find some exciting resources for church congregations, individuals, and young adults and families at www.thykingdomcome.global – including this must-watch video of the Archbishop talking about his personal relationship with Jesus.
Throughout the 11-day period, the diocesan communications team will post daily meditations and resources on the diocesan Facebook page – www.facebook.com/DioceseWestTX – and on this site. As a first step toward praying for others, invite them to engage with those postings. (If you are receiving this post, you will receive the daily meditations in your email inbox. Send the address www.christianformation-dwtx.org to others to subscribe.)
